Durban 70.3 Unrushed

Durban 70.3 Unrushed

As I am sure you are aware, MTD officially launched the new #unrushed training program for newbies. Durban 70.3 last weekend saw the first group of athletes on take a triathlon. It was a perfect day and we could not have asked for better.

Leading up to the event, athletes completed a 12 week generic training plan and attended group sessions for some personal coaching, technique training etc.

We also hosted the following group sessions. Open water swims at the dam and beach, bike handling skills, bike maintenance, nutrition talks for training and race day, transition training and a race briefing.

We are excited to be launching the next 12 week plan in a few weeks time. This will be for an Ironman distance and Sprint distance triathlon taking place in October near CT.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for further info. Challenge a partner. Bring a buddy or two and come join our triathlon team.

Here are some quotes from some of our MTD athletes…
“Competing in the Ironman Durban 70.3 was one of the best days of my life, and I cannot wait for round two!” Megan Kuhn

“Excited, shattered, exhilarated and truly blessed to share the experience with my son Michael” Storme Sacks

“Despite this being my third Durban 70.3, I had an incorrect recollection of the bike course being flat. It isn’t but is still good for a fast time.” Jenni Horn

“Durban is an awesome way to end the season, the weather is great, the course is fast, the run is flat, and one year I will remember to train for it! Hoping its next year :) ….and then you come home to cold CT” Sam Rosenstein

“Awesome experience, thank you to an excellent beginners program.” Roger Arendse, Leighshe Hodson and Hans van Heerden
